The actor has been battling the ailment for years.
It would be recalled that in 2016, the actor had undergone surgery in the United Kingdom.
Reports say he had a transplant last week which developed complications that resulted in his demise.
His colleague, Chioma Toplis, announced his exit on social media this afternoon.
